Carbon interaction with the tensile stress

Carbon interaction with the tensile stress field of edge dislocations is stronger than with the pure shear stress field of screw dislocations [12] and [13]. The carbon-free simulation box consists of about 250,000 iron atoms arranged on a bcc lattice with lattice parameter a0=0.286a0=0.286 nm. The approximate simulation box volume is 15×20×1015×20×10 nm3, with the axis oriented in the (112¯),(11¯0) and (111) directions.
